Ten Things To Do During The January Thaw

Here's ten things to share and enjoy during this year's January Thaw:

Seagulls At Marina

1: Take a walk in the sunshine.

2: Check out your local newspaper's calendar of events page for something fun to do.

3:  Open the windows and let some fresh air in, but first remember to lower the thermostat.

4: Take out the gardening catalogs and place an order.

5:  Get a head start on spring cleaning.

6:  Clean out a planting bed or rake some leaves.

7:  Go fishing.

8:  For the hardy, go for a winter swim. Wetsuit recommended.

9:  Visit a neighbor and find out what's new.

10: Visit a park and listen to the birds sing.

Our stories enlighten, inspire, and bring awareness to conservation issues. On this year's great January thaw, what will you be doing?
