East Norwich Junior Firefighter, Camp Fully Involved

I like this video because it shows you some of the things I did as a firefighter, and this is how the book Sunrise Fire came to be - - by experiencing fire and facing new challenges.

Fire training class offered to high school students

Baldwinsville's Baker High School, near Syracuse, NY is offerring a 40 week course to encourage students to become firefighters. Twenty juniors and seniors will be trained in CPR, basic first aid and emergency scene support. This course is being offered in a classroom setting, and is being done in cooperation with the local fire department.

The course was made possibe by a fire grant in hopes to overcome firefighter shortages. It is hoped that this introductory course to firefighting will encourage students to become involved in firefighting.

I would think that these students would also benefit from reading Sunrise Fire.
