Bee Friendly Fundraiser Counters Rising Market Vendor Fees
Port Jefferson Farmers Market Vendor Fees Nearly Double
By Mindy Block, Quality Parks President
February 23, 2020
2020 Summer Market Vendor Fees in Port Jefferson increased in one year from $350 to $600. The fees are due in April. Quality Parks doesn't sell as much as other vendors. That's because most of the time they're selling a worthy cause. They're selling tick bite prevention and bee friendly pollinator gardens. And Quality Parks plant prices are very reasonable. As an environmental charity organization, Quality Parks wants to remove the pricing barrier. Quality Parks wants people not to fear experimenting with replacing lawns with more natural landscapes.
However, because of the increased market fees, and the additional fees of a second potential market in Yaphank, they may not be able to continue selling at Markets. That's why I'm asking you, and others like you, to chip in and make a donation to help cover some of their expense, and a much needed vendor tent.
Every sale made for tick bite prevention or for bee friendly plants makes people and the environment healthier and happier.
I love to grow and sell plants for Quality Parks, as its President. Escalating market vendor fees make it tough for charity organizations. They're too easily replaced with more lucrative vendors."
Please donate for a good cause.
Donations will help cover 2020 Farmers Markets fees, and will also enable us to continue other charitable work.
We welcome any donation.
