More deer resistant than blueberry, also turns color in the fall. Seeds liked by birds. Well drained to acidic sandy soils. Edible.

Height: 3' feet; midrange, occupying space between highbush and lowbush blueberries
Tolerances: full sun to partial shade, deer resistant (haven't observed any browsing over the years)
