Tallman Mountain State Park, which includes portions of the Piedmont Marsh, one of the last 5 salt marshes in the Hudson River Estuary. This will be my home park for Quality Parks Master Naturalist training.
It's commonly used for walking to and from the Port Jefferson train station and other locations uptown. Many folks don't even realize poison ivy as a health hazard. Especially those who walk on the east side of Belle Terre Road.
Suffolk County approved luxurious camping (glamping) at Cedar Point Park (within a month). The bid was jointly won by Jonathan Wang, an active real estate investor who founded EOS Investors LLC in 2017, and by Terra Glamping, active in hospitality and marketing, founded in 2014. The Pine Barrens Trail Center could benefit too.

The natural world is such a wonderful source of joy, nurture and healing that it’s
truly sad to see anyone afraid to be outside because of ticks. This is especially so
because there are effective and non-toxic ways to avoid infection and, for those already
dealing with tick-borne illnesses, to recover from them. Read on to learn how.
My goals are: to keep you safe outdoors, to empower you to enjoy nature without fear, and to keep exposure to toxins to an absolute minimum, for both you and the environment.
