Customizable for the recently retired seeking adventure, the professional teacher, organizer, landscaper, health professional, and/or for the career prepping student. Classroom and field training are taught by local experts. All skill levels are welcome.
“Recapture your personal power simply by stepping outside. Experience the feeling of ‘Freedom’ Nature provides.” – Billie Weiss, Reveal the Nature Within, and former program instructor.
The Quality Parks Master Naturalist certification requirements include an Orientation, the Winter Workshop (Feb 16,17, 18 in Bellport), relevant service (20 hours), meaningful homework at an adopted park, and Graduation.
Bring natural intelligence to your outdoor experience. – Mindy Block, Quality Parks President & Program Coordinator
“The course work is vigorous and thorough because we want to get people involved in a wide variety of projects and issues,” says Eric Powers, Your Connection To Nature. “While everyone receives the basic training, the real genius of this program is the built-in flexibility of the coursework that will allow learners to customize their experiences to suit individual passions and interests."
Recent graduate, Peter Wimett, Jr. says, "The best part of this program was the personal learning approach each Instructor conveyed. The hike and events were fun, with each person contributing, which added to my learning and skills. I enjoyed every part of the program and look forward to more.”
