There's little evidence of the former Chandler Estate, except for the stone steps. The entrance to this parkland is gated. Walking the trails reveals a former open field and a descent down to the Mount Sinai harbor. Conversations with locals reveal an interest in keeping the field open, with initiatives to cut back invasive species vines and mowing. Reportedly SC Parks confiscated the mower, and the guy cutting back invasive Asiatic Bittersweet vines moved.

One is by the gated Suffolk County Park sign and the other is up in back of the cemetery. Eastern boundaries aren't well marked.
