Volunteers Community Service Credits
Experience what it means to be an environmental hero. Receive community service credits and a certificate upon completion. Volunteers don't need to be an experts; just spend time observing, monitoring, & completing an online form.
- Review A Park - on Long Island. Receive 4 hours of community service for 4 hours of time well spent. You'll be out in the field taking notes and photos in a selected Long Island Park.
- Review A Park Resource - virtually. Receive 4 hours of community service for 4 hours of time well spent. You'll be reviewing a Long Island based, selected Park Resource.
Professional Members & Professional Tools
Professional Tools are instructional aids in environmental education & conservation. What's included? Commonly misunderstood environmental terminology, park needs more fully explained, environmental speciality resources, and networking tools. Noteworthy: With generous support from volunteers, members, professional members, and donors we have been able to create this professional tool for improved stewardship. This tool has been created by triangulating: naturalists, managers, and nonprofit experiences, right here on Long Island. It will be refined as more data becomes available and is updated in our knowledge bases.
Your professional membership also includes a more complete listing in our knowledge base than unclaimed listings. And you can submit singular events or regular ongoing event summaries. We also encourage you to submit news stories that can be based on existing articles or new content. We offer various options, detailing benefits, as follows:
- Corporate Sponsor - same as Enhanced, but must demonstrate to us that you sell eco-friendly green products/services.
- Schools, Newspaper, Libraries - no listing , but doing the fine work of informing the public and students.
- Enhanced - claim you listing with logo, contact information, 3 photos, social media, and more one on one technical support time.
- Basic Plus - claim your listing with logo, and additional contact information.
- Basic - an unclaimed, free listing - we hope you will upgrade your listing to a paid one.
Members & Collaborative Tools

Donors support a Long Island native plant nursery, including field testing what native plants are better suited to changing climate conditions, deer browsing, and drought conditions. And our vision to transition lawns to more diverse natural landscapes, as a natural solution to climate change.
Donors support our conservation tools providing needs assessments and benchmarks for improved stewardship, while also providing vetted reviews from volunteer community scientists. And they support our ability to work with community scientist volunteers to develop their skills in being naturally intelligent. |
