Delightfully fragrant shrub with wispy leaves that turn color in the fall. Seeds liked by birds. Does well in poor soils and severe droughts.

Summary

​Classification:  shrub
Characteristics: adds spring green and attractive fall color, and delightfully fragrant
Habitat: dry open fields, does extremely well in drought conditions, and sandy soils
Wildlife Benefit: host plant for moths, seeds are eaten by birds, provides cover for wildlife
Bloom Period: subtle spring blooms
Height: 2-4' feet tall
Tolerances: full sun to partial shade, very deer resistant
