Support Parks & Park Resources Conservation - Become a Donor - Benefits

Quality Parks provides vetted information about the State of Long Island Parks & Park Resources, with an overarching question of how we use  needs analysis to further investigate and advocate for improved stewardship.   We also draw attention to the many park resources on Long Island doing environmental good.

How do we collect our data? Volunteer community scientists provide reviews of local parks and park resource website. Volunteers come from all walks of life, and can be based on or off Long Island.  We encourage their involvement and provide them with community service credits.

The problem for us is that they are volunteers, and we also have the additional cost of reviewing and maintaining our knowledge base.
We're seeking in kind matches.  Volunteers provide 4 hours of community service for each review, valued at $30/hour according to online sources. We are requesting a match of $120 per student to help cover out costs.
