Swamp Milkweed is a found along freshwater edges and moist meadows. It does well in garden soils and poor drainage locations. May tolerate drier conditions if watered and weeded. Apply daily watering as needed until established. Cut dried stalks the following year, as desired, but after new growth begins. This is a host plant for monarch butterflies.
